Western Australian Museum

The ‘must visit’ Kalgoorlie-Boulder branch of the Western Australian Museum is dedicated to showcasing the rich history of the Eastern Goldfields and the city’s mining heritage. The museum complex comprises a range of purpose-built and heritage buildings, including the former British Arms Hotel (1899) and the towering red poppet head of the old Ivanhoe gold mine (from which panoramic views of Kalgoorlie-Boulder can be enjoyed).

Located at 17 Hannan Street, the Museum is open daily from 10am to 4.30pm.
